With every new year, do you make the commitment to:

  • Get healthy ?
  • Improve your diet?
  • Lose weight?
  • Get more active?

Are you one of those people that do a really good job sticking to your plan for the first few weeks or even the first few months?

Then does it seem like something just happens and you find it more & more difficult to stay with it?

What is that “something”?

  • Is it lack of motivation?
  • Is it the constant hunger you feel because your trying to eat less & restrict food so you’re mind & body are screaming at you to just bag this crazy plan?
  • Are you killing it in the gym & not seeing any big results?
  • Is the whole damn thing so frustrating that you’re just sick of the continual struggle it takes?
  • Is it All Of The Above?

I hear you!
There is a VERY big reason that this is happening…Sugar!

You may be already nodding your head in agreement with a little chuckle. Here is the real truth though…

Sugar IS addicting. Here are some basic facts you must realize…

Sugar is:

  • More addictive than cocaine!
  • It is like a drug. Seriously, it acts just like a drug in your body.
  • Processed & commercial foods & drinks are FILLED with added sugar! It is in nearly everything!
  • Many foods today act just like sugar in the body…and I’m not talking fruit here, people!

Your struggles with improving your diet stem from the fact that your are struggling with an addiction. This may sound harsh but it is true. Even if you’re not one to indulge in the sweet stuff, you may find it hard to stay away from the salty, crunchy stuff and/or the bread…yes, dear Lord, the bread!

When you look at it from this perspective, it starts to make a lot of sense. What you may not have realized is that you slowly became this addict because your “drug” has been laced in your food for a very long time. Now, if you were an alcoholic, you would have to stay away from alcohol, right? Conquering sugar addiction is harder, in a sense, because you have to eat and if you’re not aware that your drug is in your food, you can’t kick the habit. Top that with the fact that certain foods act like sugar in your body (like processed wheat flour) you can see why this is such a struggle!

Your commitment to getting healthy gets compromised and you falter because the “monkey on your back” is winning. You start craving, making excuses, you minimize your addiction, deny it exists or you don’t see sugar as actually being that harmful…just something “I can control any time I want.” You may be struggling with hunger because you’re sacrificing nutrition in favor of allowing yourself your little “indulgences.” Admit it!

Believe me, I have been there! I fully admit to being a recovering sugar addict. I still battle it some days, truly!

The good news here is, unlike other addictions, you don’t have to give up sugar 100% forever. You can find a healthy balance.

Here is the thing…there is a way past this and it starts just like any other addiction treatment…you have to detox yourself from it. I am here to help and I have made it easy for you with a FREE done-for-you Plan!
